Ogni tanto si aprono cassetti della memoria dove dentro ci sono ancora definizioni, date e frasi che risalgono all’epoca della scuola.
Succederà anche a voi, credo.
Ebbene, non so dire il perché, ma pensando a come poter scrivere questo nuovo post e questo piatto si è srotolata nella mia testa la definizione “una parte per il tutto” non sapendo minimamente a che cosa si riferisse.
Googolando sono risalita alla figura retorica della sineddoche che “consiste nella sostituzione di un termine con un altro che ha con il primo una relazione di carattere quantitativo” (Wikipedia).
Fa proprio al caso mio.
Volevo parlare, infatti, della bottega e dei vari significati che il termine può assumere, almeno in Toscana.
La bottega
In Toscana il termine bottega non sta ad indicare soltanto il negozio dove sono esposte e vendute le merci, ma qualsiasi locale pubblico che possa ospitare il compaesano o l’amico per fare quattro chiacchere e magari, poi, compare qualcosa.
Come la falegnameria, l’ officina meccanica, il bar, il calzolaio, il panettiere o l’alimentari.
E come siamo bravi a declinare il sostantivo bottega in tutti i suoi suffissi: botteghina, botteguccia, bottegone, botteghino…..
Comunque un punto di riferimento per il paese o il quartiere a seconda di dove la si voglia collocare.
Pane e Pomodoro strusciato
E questo è quello che auguro ad un mio caro amico che dopo colpi di martello, pietre recuperate e architravi restaurati ha ridato vita alla storica bottega di paese, di generi alimentari naturalmente!
Il recupero dell’antica insegna ripresa da foto scolorite del bisnonno, il restauro del pavimento che ha sopportato per decenni e decenni il peso delle possenti massaie che ogni giorno dovevano provvedere alla pasto della famiglia o dei bambini che prima di entrare a scuola si compravano la merenda.
E poi i ricordi, i nostri, hanno contribuito alla messa a punto dei dettagli.
E sempre per la teoria dei cassetti della memoria che si aprono all’improvviso ho sentito il profumo e il sapore della merenda che mia nonna mi preparava di ritorno da scuola.
Era lei che mi aspettava davanti al cancello, mi prendeva la cartella perché era troppo pesante e se la infilava nel braccio, come fosse una borsetta.
A giorni alterni mi comprava una bustina di figurine e poi arrivati a casa, senza neanche chiedermi che cosa volessi, mi preparava la merenda.
Io giravo la sedia davanti la Tv e Bim Bum Bam era li che mi aspettava.
Iniziava la sigla del cartone animato e sul tavolo alla mia sinistra trovavo un piattino con dentro due fette di pane unte con il pomodoro, e quando andava bene una fetta di mortadella o prosciutto.
E poi il succo alla pera.
Qui occorre una precisazione, non si tratta di pane e pomodoro come le moderne bruschette, ovvero con il pomodoro tagliato a cubetti e condito.
Ma il pomodoro, rigorosamente quello ciliegino, che nonna lasciava appeso sulle grucce, che veniva tagliato a metà e strusciato sul pane, sciocco naturalmente, e poi condito con sale, pepe ed olio extra vergine d’oliva.
